Foundations of Trumpet
Let me guide you on the foundations of learning to play the trumpet. I’ll teach you to teach yourself and offer guidance on areas to improve. The trumpet is a fun, boisterous instrument capable of igniting passion & fun but can be a wild beast at first to tame. I have experience working with developing your embouchure, creating a program of study based on your musical goals (maybe it’s just for fun!) for both absolute beginners up to experienced players looking to advance their playing.
Learn to Improvise in 4 weeks!
- What do you do when someone asks you to play a solo?
- Are you in a jazz band and unsure what to do?
- What notes do I play?
- Do you sometimes just wanna make it up?
This is an introductory course to learning how to make music and improvise. After four lessons you’ll understand what improvising is, how to determine note choices, how to make exciting solos and how to jam. This course is open to players of any instrument.
“My son came to Eamon after he had lost his love of music and instruments. Looking for a fresh start, he tried trumpet with Eamon. Eamon is a natural born teacher. From the first lesson, my son’s passion for the trumpet was set in stone. Eamon listened to what he wanted out of trumpet playing and found pieces that engaged with his student. Every lesson became an enjoyment and not a chore. A year on, this has only continued to grow. Passion for music doesn’t wane with Eamon - in fact, it is the opposite. Eamon is a gifted teacher and performer and he hasn’t lost his sense of fun along the way. His ability to connect with and understand his students is his greatest gift. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher to inspire the next generation. ” - Kristy
